Carl R. Gibbs, Jr.
Chairman and CEO

Mr. Carl R. Gibbs, Jr. is the Chairman and CEO of Sturdivant & Co., Inc.  He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm and overseeing all aspects of its operations. With over 31 years in the financial service industry, Mr. Gibbs is a proven leader with a strong vision for the future.  He has a proven track record of driving innovation and growing revenue. His leadership has and continues to be instrumental in Sturdivant’s success and he is committed to the firm’s continued growth.  Prior to joining Sturdivant & Co., he served as Executive Vice President at Harris Capital Partners, a regional brokerage firm, where he oversaw planning, accounting, financial reporting functions, and investor relations. He began his career at Prudential Insurance Company where he was a top producer for 3 years. Mr. Gibbs received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the College of New Jersey. He also serves as Chairman for the Board of Trustees for the College of New Jersey and board member for the Delta Epsilon Boule Foundation. He holds a Series 7, 24, 63 and 87.

Harvey R. de Krafft
Managing Director

Mr. Harvey R. de Krafft is Managing Director & Head of Trading at Sturdivant Co. and has over 33 years of trading and sales experience. He has been with the firm since its inception in 1988. As Managing Director, Mr. de Krafft is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Sturdivant’s trading and execution operations. Over the years, our clients have responded favorably to quality, accuracy and discretion provided to all transactional business. Previously, Mr. de Krafft worked in responsible positions at a regional brokerage firm in Philadelphia. He earned his BS in Finance at Villanova University in 1986. Mr. de Krafft holds a Series 7, 24, 28, 57 and 63.


Mitchell B. Pinheiro, CFA
Senior Vice President, Director of Research

Mr. Mitchell B. Pinheiro, CFA is Senior Vice President and Director of Fundamental Equity Research. Mr. Pinheiro has over 35 years investment experience with particular emphasis on consumer sector equity research. He has been ranked on The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” list in 12 out of 17 years and was inducted in The Wall Street Journal’s Analyst Hall of Fame in 2006. Mr. Pinheiro spent the majority of his career at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC where he was senior vice president providing equity research in the consumer sector from 1990 through 2012. He was Director of Research from 2003 through 2006. Following Janney, Mr. Pinheiro spent time at Imperial Capital, LLC (2013-2015) and Wunderlich Securities (2015-2017) as a senior equity analyst covering the consumer and health and wellness sectors and as a portfolio manager at Costello Asset Management. Mr. Pinheiro received his B.A. degree in Economics from Dickinson College and is a member of the CFA Institute. Mr. Pinheiro holds a Series 7, 16, 24, 63, 86, 87.
